My Girl

I don't know if Ty secretly taught Ainsley this new trick or if she figured it out herself, but I saw it for the first time today. And I thought it was hilarious was completely mortified ;) The daycare people also told me yesterday that she is the only girl who will play ball with all of the boys in the gym. I think she's going to be a tomboy! (She will, however, still wear pink and hairbows and toenail polish.)

Mr. Mom

It has been a rough couple of days! Ainsley was running a fever when I picked her up on Tuesday so we went to the doctor and he said it was just an ear infection. (I say just because there are a ton of people with the flu already so I'm glad that's not what it was) So since I have to save all of my sick days this year to use on maternity leave, and Stuart has almost 5 weeks of sick days, he has stayed home with her for the last 2 days. He has done a great job entertaining/taking care of her and Ainsley is so lucky to have a daddy who can stay home with her.

I Have No Good Explanation For This . . .

I seriously don't know where this came from. Ainsley loves Ty so much and wants to be with him all the time so I understand her wanting to play his Nintendo DS, but the dancing?(I use the term dancing very loosely) I have never seen her move like this and she certainly didn't learn it from me. Regardless of all that, I think it is hilarious and adorable so I had to post it. Even though you may have seen it already on facebook. Don't forget to go to the very bottom of the page and pause my music.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

by Stuart

Ty had his first ever baseball game today, which his team won 15-5. Ty was super nervous before the game, but you would never know that, based on his performance. He got a hit on his first at bat (see video). For three at bats he had two hits, one walk, three stolen bases, and two runs scored. He was the only player on his team to get on base on each of his at bats.

He got to pitch during the third inning, but didn't have quite as much success. (He walked four batters.)

We think he did an awesome job and are so proud of him!

Chillin' With the Boys

I don't really have anything to say but I couldn't stand for that picture of my big stomach to be the first thing that comes up when someone checks our blog. Ainsley is napping right now. It's the first real nap she has had all day. She's usually such a good sleeper so I don't know what has gotten into her today. It may be because Ty is here and she doesn't want to miss out on any of the fun. She sat with him and Stuart on the couch last night while they watched T.V.
If you know her very well, you probably know that she is not especially cuddly (unless she's sick) so I can't believe she climbed up there to sit with them! Lucky boys.

Oh, Baby (x2)

Not really sure if it's a good idea to put pictures of my gut up on the internet, but I'm going for it anyway. This is my belly 20 weeks pregnant with Ainsley. . .

And here I am just 15 weeks pregnant with the twins.

Comparing belly pictures and seeing such a difference at just 15 weeks makes me worry about what's to come!

Muy Bonita

Ainsley's class celebrated Mexican Independence Day today. One of my friends from school let us borrow this dress and I think Ainsley really liked it. She kept fluffing and playing with her ruffles. I think she might be one of those girls who likes to dress up and look pretty but then wants to go play outside and get dirty. We shall see.

Cutest Football Fan EVER!!

We are so excited for football season! We always go to my parents' house to watch the Cowboys so Ainsley needed a new game day outfit. I had to find a picture from last season but she spit up so much then that I always ended up changing her clothes before I could get a good picture. So here's one of her stretching after a nap (at about 7 weeks old) . . .And here she is on Sunday (13 months) . . .

I can't believe how fast time goes by. She is such a big sweet girl and I love her SO much.

She Did It!

Ainsley has been thinking about walking lately (I think). She has been able to stand up, squat down, and go forward and backward with her walker for quite a while but if we try to get her to walk she straightens her legs out and shrieks in protest. She is so hard-headed. But this week she has finally taken a few steps on her own and today she went a little further and we got it on camera!

1 Year Old Pictures

Here are Ainsley's (slightly belated) birthday pictures. I also have birthday party pictures to post but I don't think I'll get to it today. She did so good having pictures taken. She is a little more shy now so I wasn't sure if she would smile and cooperate but she did great!
