Swimming Lessons

Here's a video from swim lessons today. It took so stinking long to upload, though, that I don't feel like typing anything else. Maybe I'll add more tomorrow when it's not past my bedtime!

Chuck E. Cheese

This is super old but it just re-surfaced in my huge pile of junk stack of very important papers in the kitchen. And I thought it was cute so here you go. Ainsley's sketch from her first visit to Chuck E. Cheese's. It looks like she's having fun, right?

This one is actually far more accurate. She would not play or do anything. She was permanently attached to me and she cried if I put her on anything that moved. I do like how it looks like she's driving with no hands while messing with the radio. Let's all pray that it's not a preview of what we'll be seeing in 15 years!

YUM!

We have been very busy this week. Ainsley started swimming lessons on Monday at AquaKids. She's doing really well - she went all the way underwater on the first day. I don't have any pictures yet because I have to be in the water with her since she's so little. Stuart is supposed to come watch next week and he will take pictures. He has been working from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm every day this summer so he has definitely earned an hour off to come watch his baby swim!

Here's a video from earlier this week. I guess swimming lessons have helped Ainsley work up an appetite. This is her really enjoying her lunch.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy in the whole world. We love you so much!

The baby with the bottle is Ty and the other one is obviously Ainsley (in case you were confused).

Clothing Optional

I don't really know what to write about these pictures. Maybe it should be a Not Me! Monday post and I would say I most certainly did not let my child crawl around in a diaper for most of the day simply because I didn't want to fight with her over getting dressed!
She has started doing this bear crawl whenever she's on the tile.
This one is fuzzy but it's my favorite!

More Pool Pics

We went to the pool last weekend. It was fun but the water was really cold. We didn't stay very long (because Ainsley started crying) but I did get a few pictures . . .
Here's Ainsley getting swimming lessons from Daddy and Ty.
She is not brave enough to put her face in . . . yet!Ty acting more and more like Stuart.
Ainsley sunning herself on the tanning ledge (this is especially funny because she obviously has my complexion and there is no tanning in her future!)

Rainy Day

We were stuck inside all day on Thursday because it was raining so we had to get a little bit creative to entertain ourselves. Ainsley is getting so much better at standing up so she spent a long time dropping things and bending down to pick them up. Again and again. And again. . .

She watched a little bit of TV.Then she spent some time playing inside the box that her new carseat for Granny's car came in.

Her new hairdo is also something that takes up time every day. She hates having her hair fixed. She pulled it out once (staring right at me as I said and signed "NO" to her) so then we had to wrestle for the second time in one day while I fixed it again. So here she is looking so sweet and innocent with her second little ponytail of the day.

Ainsley & John

My friend Whitney and her baby John were in town last weekend so Mom and Ainsley and I went for a visit. We had so much fun - their whole family was there and the kids were so cute together! We also went swimming. It was only Ainsley's second time to swim, but I think she enjoyed herself.
Here she is looking very jealous as John walks out of the pool.
Not too sure about the boat.
John loved the boat. Which is good because it was actually his boat.
Jumping in. Sort of.
She did miss her much needed afternoon nap, but she also walked (crawled?) away with a Tickle-Me Cookie Monster toy - so I think overall it was definitely a successful trip! Thank you John for letting Ainsley come play with you :)

Bathtime

Ainsley really likes taking a bath (which is good because she gets filthy now crawling all over the place).

I don't think she likes having her hair washed but she doesn't fight with me too much over it. Here she is all lathered up!

And here trying to exit the tub without rinsing her hair.
